Title: Entry Level Software Engineer - 76675
As a Software Engineer for Crop Care Software for Intelligent Solutions Group (ISG), you will be a member of an embedded development scrum team working with multiple stakeholders to build and implement functionality for John Deere agricultural equipment. In addition, you will:
Design, develop, and test software for a broad spectrum of Deere equipment functionality
Operate in a scrum team environment on varying projects with direction from a project lead(s).
Provide product support of the system(s).
What Skills You Need
1+ years experience in embedded software development with experience in design, development, and testing
Experience in software development using C, C++, C#, or other scripting programming languages (academically or professionally)
Strong understanding of real-time operating system concepts
E xcellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability and experience working in a self-directed mode
Strong demonstrated problem-solving skills
Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% (both domestically and internationally)
What Makes You Stand Out
Experience with Agile software development methodologies
E xperience with CAN communication protocols such as J1939 and ISO 11783
Experience using Matlab, Simulink, and Stateflow
Experience with control system design
Technical experience relating to design/diagnostics of mechanical/electrical/hydraulic systems in an automotive or agricultural setting
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
Bachelor’s degree in (specify degree or degrees) Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science
