Title: Operator Station Local Integrator - 94585

Onsite/Remote: Onsite Position

Your Responsibilities

As an Operator Station Local Integrator for JD ISG located in Ankeny, IA , you will:

  • On-site point of contact for Operator Station software components for crop care platforms to ensure quality and root cause of on vehicle issues with alignment on program schedules

  • Collaboration and troubleshooting with cross functional product teams with diverse backgrounds such as verification champions, testers, other platform local integrators, developers, and stakeholders inside and outside of Operator Station groups

  • Create, update, debug, and execute software test procedures for various Operator Station components and systems across the crop care platforms while complying with a defined development process and software testing principles

  • Ensure equal or better quality through iterative release process for Operator Station components on the crop care vehicle platforms

What Skills You Need

  • Proven experience in Electrical and/or Software Engineering performing analysis, design, and testing for embedded software projects using C, C++, Python, Bash scripting, and Model-based.

  • Exposure to root cause analysis of software issues in embedded environments to ensure quality for the customer

  • Effective communicator with teamwork experience

  • Good analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Knowledge of electronic circuits and components, such as microcontrollers, FETs, EEPROM/Flash, etc., with the ability to read schematics and data sheets.

  • Experience reviewing and interpreting software requirements

  • Acquaintance with embedded systems tools such as emulators, compilers, simulators, etc.

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Experience in embedded systems testing in one or multiple levels: Model-in-the-Loop (MiL), Software-in-the-Loop (SiL), Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL), and Vehicle-in-the-Loop (VIL)

  • Experience with software configuration management, software planning, code review, test planning, test execution, test result reporting, and/or root cause analysis tools

  • Knowledge of ECU-Test package creation, framework, libraries, and execution

  • Experience with SAE J1939 CAN analysis tools, specifically CANoe , CANape, or CANalyzer

  • Knowledge of operator controls and components in cabs of off-road vehicles

  • Experience with continuous integration development, using automated build and regression test practices, and programming of embedded controllers on a vehicle

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Equivalent.
