The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Companys regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule YEAR-ROUND.
Your Responsibilities
As a Part-Time Student-Quality Engineering for John Deere Des Moines Works located in Ankeny, Iowa, you will:
Learns and uses quality tools consistent with quality processes to enable the focus on prevention by identifying and performing activities to minimize risk to the customer
Assists in warranty reviews and investigations by creating evidence packages and applying problem resolution techniques
Provide shop floor support for production assembly lines to assist in the reduction of key quality metrics
Mentored by experienced Quality and Manufacturing Engineers
What Skills You Need
Ideally you will be pursuing a degree in an engineering dicipline; others may apply
Must be registered as a full-time student at a local accredited university or college
Graduation date of 2023 or later
Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
Available to work during the academic year 16-20 hours weekly
Available to work during the summer semester 30-40 hours weekly

NOTE: For Iowa State University students, this assignment will qualify for ISU course credit as a co-op/internship position working 20 hours per week.
