Onsite/Remote:Partial Remote Position
As a Software Engineer - Test for John Deere Intelligent Solutions Group (ISG) located in Urbandale, Iowa, you will join our team delivering precision ag app solutions to the market. We are looking for someone exceptional to lead efficient verification of software solutions for John Deere vehicles in the precision agriculture industry.
In addition, you will:
Use a deep understanding of software solutions being implemented coupled with an understanding of customer needs to ensure solutions meet those needs
Develop high-quality test plans using automated, manual, and in-field tests so we can fail fast and learn quickly about the quality and performance of our products and concepts
Execute manual and automated tests, communicate results, and drive cross-functional teams to root cause and resolution
Collaborate with developers, system engineers, and test team members across other Deere units

Partial Telework Arrangement is acceptable for this role The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change.
What Skills You Need
Three (3) or more years of demonstrated experience in the design, development, testing, or integration of products that were successfully delivered to the market/production, especially electrical and mechatronic systems
Three (3) or more years of experience working in a team environment with cross-functional teams
One (1) or more years ofAgile development methodologies
Ownership, curiosity, and demonstrated ability to achieve results through self-directed individual contributions and by inspiring others in a fast-paced environment
Strong analytical skills, thrives on breaking down, solving, and conveying complex features/issues to engineers in other disciplines
Willingness to perform on-machine testing at Deere test sites or customer sites
What Makes You Stand Out
A minimum of One (1) year of experience test planning and executing at the component and sub-system levels
A minimum of One (1) year of experience in scripting languages (e.g. Python, ECU Test, etc)
Experience developing or testing embedded software solutions
Practical working knowledge of CAN or other networking communication protocols
On-machine experience with vehicles and implements in the precision agriculture, construction, and roadbuilding industries, ideally including direct customer interactions
Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Technology related discipline
