Your Position:

Your Responsibilities

As a Staff Engineer, Module Systems for Crop Care located in Ankeny, IA, you will leverage system engineering process and methodologies to lead and develop solutions to technical opportunities. In addition, you will....

  • Develop, document, and review Crop Care sub-system and detailed functional system requirements by planning and coordination with cross functional team members

  • Lead other system engineers and team members to ensure configurations/features are fully known and common requirements are developed

  • Lead and assist in resolution of complex technical issues within the Crop Care customer support, manufacturing, continuous improvement or with outside suppliers

What Skills You Need

  • 5 or more years of experience in delivering systems engineering deliverables including detailed designs and technical documentation.

  • 5 or more years of demonstrated experience leading and collaborating with multifunctional, cross cultural design teams across other functional groups

  • 5 or more years of demonstrated project leadership with successful outcomes

  • 3 or more years of demonstrated capabilities for technical mentoring and leadership

  • 3 or more years of experience working at various levels of design and test

  • Experience in roles that demonstrate your ability to communicate effectively with both technical staff and customers

  • Knowledge of the product development processes and enterprise software delivery processes

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

What Makes You Stand Out

  • 5 or more years of strong knowledge and understanding of systems design and principles

  • 5 or more years of demonstrated project leadership with successful outcomes

  • Experience with writing, defining, or interpreting requirements for design

  • Experience with software development in a team environment

  • Work experience with specific systems such as electrical, hydraulic, controls

  • Experience in Crop Care equipment understanding of the theory of operation and customer interaction with agricultural equipment

  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully with both local and global teams

  • Formal training in System Engineering

  • Advanced degree in engineering discipline is desirable

  • Knowledge of agriculture practices


Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor’ degree in an Electrical, Agricultural, Mechanical, or Software Engineering with experience involving electrical systems.
