Job: Contract Administrator

Department: Credit & Operations Team, Gloucester

John Deere Financial (UK/Ireland) reports to John Deere Bank S.A’s European headquarters in Luxembourg and our primary activity is providing financial services to John Deere customers and dealers who want to finance John Deere equipment.

The Operations Team provides a professional contact point and a high quality service to all internal/external business contacts in managing new business, customer service and collections processes in line with business requirements. With a recent movement in the, this small team needs a new member.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manages incoming finance contracts: incepting to live on internal systems, performing detailed contract checks and creating records for audit history.

  • Processes reschedules (changes to existing live contracts).

  • Makes maintenance payments to dealers on live lease agreements.

  • Early settlements of live contracts.

  • Contacts business introducers to resolve outstanding processing issues.

  • Resolves in-coming contract and system queries from dealers and customers by telephone/email: handling complex situations to reach positive outcomes.

  • Promotes and supports Deere systems (point of sale and processing) for customer service support and technical guidance to internal/external contacts.

  • Works independently to achieve and sustain productivity levels.

  • Provides feedback on customer service/process improvements.

  • Pro-actively participate in other duties as required: reporting, training/coaching others, projects e.g. IT systems testing.

    What You Need:

  • 1-3 years of experience working in financial services/customer service is preferred.

  • Understanding of Deere equipment/products and the agricultural sector an advantage.

  • Self-motivation: effective time management, meets deadlines (peak processing periods) and flexible.

  • Pro-active team player - assists in resolving conflicts, positive attitude and good interpersonal skills (face-to-face/telephone, active listener).

  • Strong numeracy skills/attention to detail required to structure rental profiles, calculate subsidies and to check contract figures.

  • Ability to create trust and establish strong relationships.

  • Make sound decisions using own judgement, guidelines and procedures.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office use and an aptitude to work with electronic credit delivery systems/credit reference systems essential


  • Degree level qualified in Business/Management or Accounting/Finance.
