Title: Area Collection Manager - 70051
Manages past due accounts and workout arrangements for A&T, C&F, and non-Deere merchant channels. Negotiates payment commitments and recommends workout solutions or repossessions for approval. Works under supervision with customers having low to moderate aggregate credit exposure and/or complexity, within the scope of that worked by the Special Asset group.
Establishes and maintains a collaborative relationship between team members, outside counsel, dealers, sales branches, sales regions, product groups, corporate counsel, and senior management to achieve positive outcomes in negative situations.
Reports case status as required by management, business units, and business partner monthly, quarterly or by request.
Performs advanced collection activities on assigned accounts through resolution.
Negotiates payment commitments. May work with litigation and legal department to collect or negotiate workout agreements.
Evaluates financial statements and other customer information to evaluate repayment capacity and considers many different options when determining potential delinquency resolution.
Assists the Division Manager in working larger accounts.
Skills, Abilities, Knowledge
Working knowledge of related Federal & State laws affecting Bankruptcy & Repossession.
Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office plus intranet and internet functions.
Understanding of financial statements, cash flow and key financial ratios.
Knowledge of the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC)-Revised Article 9 or equivalent legislation.
Skill in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
Knowledge of collection tools and techniques, deferral policies, legal restrictions and contract terms and Company policies and procedures.
