Function: Product Engineering
Title: Part-Time Student - Ergonomics - Cary, NC - 50080
This position will be responsible for ergonomics analysis supporting turf and utility products.
The successful candidate will use a mix of ergonomics modeling, virtual reality, and physical ergonomics evaluation tools to analyze future designs for human use.
What It Takes
Student must have relevant course work in anatomy, physiology, and human performance psychology.
Student must have coursework or lab work in the areas of ergonomics analysis techniques
Pursuing a four-year degree in Mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, computer engineering, computerscience, biomedical engineering, aerospace engineering, or general engineering
Must be registered as a full-time student at a local university
Must be able to commute to the work location on a daily basis
Graduation date of May 2020 or later
Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
16 - 20 hours/week during the academic year
35 - 40 hours/week during the summer semester
A strong candidate will also have
Good communication skills with coworkers and manager when there are problems with data or metrics.
It is preferable that the student would have participated in at least one lab research project involving human performance (this could be ergonomics or cognitive performance).
It is preferable that the student would have some experience using python, c sharp, or matlab.
It is preferable that the student have experience with digital human modeling or virtual reality development.
