Title: Staff Embedded Security, Product Owner-89390

Your Responsibilities

As a Staff Embedded Security, Product Ownerwithin theEmbedded Security by Design Teamlocated in Chicago, IL or Des Moines, IA, you will be given the unique opportunity to shape the future of agriculture. Your work will be integral in implementing and enhancing security features impacting a wide range of embedded software.

Responsibilities include:

  • Work as Product Owner of the Agile scrum team working to develop applications, tools and frameworks

  • Develop, manage and prioritize the teams backlog

  • Act as the primary contact with leadership and our global engineering teams

  • Transform operational/customer needs into technical description and design specification for a software system

  • Verify teams delivery against requirements to ensure the right functionality

  • Develop and review project artifacts defined in the software life cycle in conformance to regulatory requirements

  • Mentor and help other engineers on the team grow

    This position is eligible for aflexible work schedulearrangement at the present time. The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change.

What Skills You Need

  • 5+ years of expertise developing professional software

  • 3+ years proven experience developing embedded applications in C or C+

  • 3+ years of influencing your team without authority

  • 2+ years background mentoring junior engineers

  • Proficient in basic operations on multiple Linux distributions

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Previously Designed a feature that improved the security of an embedded software system

  • Wrote production code in Python in past professional environment

  • Built a security CI/CD pipeline

  • Background supporting another software product team in a DevOps role

  • Previous experience with automotive or heavy equipment embedded systems development

  • Proven product management experience


Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering OR equivalent work experience in the Embedded Software Engineering field related to the role
