Function: Manufacturing Engineering

Title: Part-Time Student-Process Engineer-Davenport IA- 84573

Onsite/Remote:Onsite Position

The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Companys regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule.

Your Responsibilities

  • Participate on cross functional teams of salary and wage personnel

  • Develop and implement plans to support lean manufacturing and Continuous Improvement (CI) projects

  • Assists in reviews and investigations of warranty claim information

  • Support non-conforming material processes (SAP and NCCA)

  • Support development and implementation of new manufacturing processes and technology

    What Skills You Need

  • Ideally you will be pursuing a Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Engineering; others may apply

  • Must be registered as a full-time student at a local university

  • Graduation date of December 2022 or later

  • Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above

  • Must be able to commute to the work location on a daily basis

  • Work 16-20 hours/week during the academic year

  • Work 35-40 hours/week during the summer semester

  • Plans, prioritizes and organizes work effectively, adapting for changing conditions

  • Ability to create and thrive in an inclusive and collaborative team environment

  • Original thinking and an ability to identify problems and generate creative solutions

  • Self-starter, who asks for and offers help when needed

    What Makes You Stand Out

  • Problem solver with a solid work ethic

  • Good communication skills

  • Knowledge of manufacturing and/or distribution processes, quality, tooling, tool design, total preventative maintenance and facilities

  • Proficient in MS Office software

  • Skill in using computer aided design and/or engineering tools

  • Understanding of safety processes and ergonomics
