Function: Manufacturing Engineering
Title: Part-Time Student-Process Engineer-Davenport IA- 84573
The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Companys regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule.
Participate on cross functional teams of salary and wage personnel
Develop and implement plans to support lean manufacturing and Continuous Improvement (CI) projects
Assists in reviews and investigations of warranty claim information
Support non-conforming material processes (SAP and NCCA)
Support development and implementation of new manufacturing processes and technology
What Skills You Need
Ideally you will be pursuing a Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Engineering; others may apply
Must be registered as a full-time student at a local university
Graduation date of December 2022 or later
Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
Must be able to commute to the work location on a daily basis
Work 16-20 hours/week during the academic year
Work 35-40 hours/week during the summer semester
Plans, prioritizes and organizes work effectively, adapting for changing conditions
Ability to create and thrive in an inclusive and collaborative team environment
Original thinking and an ability to identify problems and generate creative solutions
Self-starter, who asks for and offers help when needed
What Makes You Stand Out
Problem solver with a solid work ethic
Good communication skills
Knowledge of manufacturing and/or distribution processes, quality, tooling, tool design, total preventative maintenance and facilities
Proficient in MS Office software
Skill in using computer aided design and/or engineering tools
Understanding of safety processes and ergonomics
