Your Responsibilities

As a Product Specialist - Forestry for JD Dubuque Works, Davenport Works, John Deere Speciality Products (Langley, BC) you will...

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with dealer technicians to minimize machine downtime.

  • Implement root cause analysis and effective corrective action for continuing improvement and prioritization of issues.

  • Solicit and analyze feedback from customers and dealers and evaluate results to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

  • Work with engineering, production and other internal JD functional groups to improve product quality.

  • Close communication with Forestry Management and Leadership, Engineering, and Manufacturing employees.

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 75% domestically and internationally

What Skills You Need

  • Experience with Construction and/or Forestry dealers and customers.

  • Experience diagnosing and repairing Construction and/or Forestry equipment.

  • Knowledge of Forestry products, customers, markets and competitors.

  • Strong technical diagnostics background.

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 75% domestically and internationally.

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Operational experience with forestry equipment (Skidder, Wheeled Feller Buncher, Tracked Feller Buncher, Knuckle Boom Loader, Wheeled Harvester, Wheeled Forwarder, and Forestry Heads).

  • Experience with Forestry equipment competitors.

  • Exceptional teamwork, relationship, and communication skills to work with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and other internal JD functional groups.

  • Forestry product engineering and design experience.


Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in a business, engineering or technology discipline, or equivalent.
