Function: Administrative / Clerical

Title: Project and Training Coordinator - 59350

Your Responsibilities

As a Project and Training Coordinator for John Deere in Davenport, IA, you will be responsible for accounting, project and training coordination and administrative assistant support to all Construction & Forestry training departments.

  • Assist with budget planning and reconciliation for 12 departments and various training programs and events.

  • Manage invoicing and payments for various suppliers including utilities, training partners, dealers, and intercompany transfers. This includes writing and managing blanket purchase orders, one-time purchase orders, check requests and dealer debits/credits.

  • Run various training reports in support of technical and sales training forecasting and scheduling.

  • Analyze department metrics and data for all departments and create reports on specific department activity.

  • Assist with CF Tech college technician training programs including budgeting and marketing.

  • Support various dealer/customer training activities and events by leading and assisting with logistics, hotel and food accommodations, and on-site personnel support for large events.

  • Participate in process improvement-related committees and workgroups.

  • Provide administrative support to all Construction & Forestry training departments

  • Assist the Training Center manager in keeping facilities current with corporate environmental, health, and safety compliance.

  • Manage Training Center assets including company vehicles.

  • Keep calendars current for all training class schedules at Davenport Training Center and Coal Valley.

  • Assist with arrangement for shipping and receiving of equipment.

  • Order office supplies and supplies for all training events and trade shows,

What Skills You Need

  • Accounting and analytical skills and experience, including, budgeting, reconciliation, verification and forecasting

  • Experience generating blanket and individual POs, invoicing, and procurement of supplies

  • Experience handling multiple projects

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel

  • Experience with travel and meeting planning, and the scheduling of facilities

  • Formal writing and proofreading experience

  • Ability to travel domestically and/or internationally up to 25%

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Knowledge of SAP software

  • Experience working with Success Factors or other Learning Management Systems

  • Ability to create and run Business Object reports

  • Event planning experience

  • Knowledge of SharePoint

Education (or equivalent work experience)

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration or related degree
