Your Responsibilities

As aSenior Mechanical Facilities Engineerwith John Deere'sWW Construction & Forestrygroup located inDavenport, IA,you will...

  • Provide complex engineering design for the infrastructure for the facility, grounds, and production equipment and processes through both internal and external resources. Projects are highly integrated between various engineering disciplines. Provides supervision to facilities skilled trades.

  • Provide project management of projects related to the facility infrastructure, production machines, equipment, and processes that support the manufacturing and/or distribution operation. Projects are very complex and integrate all areas of engineering, requiring management of outside design professionals and contractors.

  • Provide troubleshooting of the facility infrastructure and production equipment to support production, manufacturing, distribution, and maintenance operations.

  • Maintain project budget cost control on projects assigned through Unit's project cost control system. May provide leadership and takes a proactive approach to develop a quality project within budget.

What Skills You Need (Required skills/experiences)

  • 5 or more years experience as a Mechanical Facilities Engineer with focus in Bulk Fluids and Gases, HV and HVAC systems, Fire Suppression and Compressed Air Systems

  • 5 or more years with demonstrated multi-discipline project management experience on projects of up to $10M in capital spend focusing on schedule, budget and quality expectations with ability to prioritize multiple active projects simultaneously

  • 5 or more years of working knowledge of building codes, OSHA Safety standards, quality and environmental laws, regulations, and familiar with FM Global policies

  • Effective communicator with ability to engage and direct large teams

  • 5 or more years knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems

  • 5 or more years of troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis

  • 2 or more years of wage supervision

  • Familiar with building automation systems and Ecostructure

  • 3 or more years proficiency with CAD systems

  • Proficient in advanced Microsoft Office Excel(Pivot Tables and Formulas) and MS Project applications

What Makes You Stand Out (Desired skills/experiences)

  • Expert in the analysis and execution of building construction standards and specifications.

  • Professional Engineering license.

  • PMP Project Management Professional, Master's degree in Project Management or an MBA.

Education Details

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, applicable technical degree or equivalent experience.
