As an Embedded Software Engineer for John Deere Dubuque Works located in Dubuque, IA, you will lead Construction vehicle cab software development. Your work will focus on software development for cab system components including but not limited to Sealed Switch Modules, wiper systems, radios, various switches, HVAC, etc. In addition, you will...
Work with system engineers to implement software requirements
Architect and design software to interface with cab system components
Collaborate with outside suppliers to ensure functional communication between John Deere software and 3rd party devices
Provide software solutions and leadership for Construction cab projects

What Skills You Need
Demonstrated expertise in the development, analysis, or testing of embedded software
Demonstrated expertise working with electronic hardware and microcontrollers
Demonstrated expertise working with real-time operating systems
Demonstrated expertise with LIN, CAN, J1939, or equivalent vehicle network communication standards
Experience with model based software development (MBSD) using the MATLAB/Simulink tool chain
What Makes You Stand Out
Experience with the development of low level of LIN drivers
Knowledge of boot loader software
Experience in troubleshooting software or electronic hardware problems
Experience with Agile software development practices
Demonstrated capability performing in an engineering team environment and interfacing with engineers and personnel of other disciplines
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- BS degree in an Electrical, Computer, Software, or Systems Engineering discipline is required. A master's degree in one of these disciplines is a plus.
