Title: Regional Environmental Manager - 103975

Onsite/Remote: Partial Remote Position

This position can be located in or around one of these cities: Waterloo, IA, Des Moines, IA, or Ottumwa, IA.

Your Responsibilities

As a Regional Environmental Manager for John Deere World Headquarters located in Moline, IL, Waterloo, IA, Des Moines, IA, or Ottumwa, IA you will:

  • Provide technical and process support to major manufacturing facilities within the region (US and Canada) to maintain compliance with environmental regulations.

  • Manage a regulatory specialist who is responsible for the Waterloo Operations Air compliance.

  • Provide oversight and direction for sites in the region (US and Canada) on ISO 14001:2015 certification requirements.

What Skills You Need

  • Experience providing technical oversight for environmental compliance

  • Effective communicator with the ability to communicate at all levels of the company

  • Experience directing the implementation and support of environmental regulations and management systems

  • Experience managing and developing an environmental team to support companywide strategies

  • Ability to travel domestically and/or internationally (Canada) up to 25%

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Experience working in a manufacturing setting.

  • Experience working with complex air permitting such as PSD or Title V permits.


Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering or related field.
