Title: Paint Manufacturing Engineer - 74676
As a Manufacturing Engineer- Paint for Dubuque Works located in Dubuque, Iowa, you will:
Analyze and make modifications to existing performance pay plans; assist in development of baseline data for new performance pay plans.
Establish routings, methods, layouts, tools, costs, capacity plans, capital and expense plans, methods documentation, quality plans and labor standards for revisions to current operations and/or new parts or programs of moderate scope.
Provide support and troubleshooting for current operations. Investigate, gather and analyze data and implement solutions.
Develop and implement plans to support lean manufacturing through the Deere Production System of moderate scope. Design operations layouts; improve material flow and material presentation.
Innovate and implement cost reduction, quality, safety and ergonomic improvement ideas of moderate scope.
Lead team studies related to capacity, energy, productivity and efficiency of moderate scope.
Lead analysis, development and implementation of new manufacturing processes and technology.
Apply electronic tools across a broad range of applications, including e-builds, modeling, and simulations. Develop automated reports and system connectivity to improve operating efficiency.
What Skills You Need
3 or more years of experience in Engineering (mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, etc.)
3 or more years of experience with robot programming and PLC programming, paint process knowledge
3 or more years of demonstrated factory support and manufacturing engineering knowledge (routings, methods, layouts, tools, costs, capacity plans/line design, methods documentation, maintenance, quality plans and labor standards, troubleshooting, etc.)
Experience with Computer- Aided Design (CAD) and/or engineering tools
Knowledge of capital budgeting and the capital equipment justification process, project management
What Makes You Stand Out
1 or more years of experience in Factory Automation
1 or more years of experience with line and process design, material presentation, cycles of imbalance and visual management tools
1 or more years of experience in one or more related engineering areas: industrial, production, methods, reliability, design, manufacturing, warehousing and distribution, quality
Experience with shop floor manufacturing incentive pay systems, such as CIPP (Continuous Improvement Pay Plan) and work measurement
1 or more years of work experience in a team environment
1 or more years of experience with engineering tools, systems and databases
Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering/Technology discipline
