Your Responsibilities
As a Product Engineer for John Deere Dubuque Works located in Dubuque, Iowa you will.
Identify and implement design changes for hydraulic and structural components to address warranty, increase product reliability and improve assembly operations.
Support assembly and fabrication operations by investigating and implementing design change corrective action.
Support dealer technical assistance center personnel to troubleshoot and resolve field issues.
Effectively work in a cross-functional team environment to develop and implement robust engineering solutions.
Develop engineering standards, product design guidelines, and engineering analysis procedures.

What Skills You Need
Product design experience through internships or practical work experience
Experience with mobile hydraulic systems and components such as control valves, cartridge valves, plumbing, pumps, cylinders, and accumulators
Structures design experience with castings, sheet steel, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) or manufacturing processes
Experience using 3D modeling packages (Pro E preferred) to create hydraulic and structures component geometry, route hydraulic plumbing and engineering drawings
Experience reading hydraulic schematics and creating engineering drawings
Ability to perform root cause analysis to develop creative alternative solutions, leveraging data to guide selection of recommendations or course of action
Demonstrated effective organizational, multi-tasking, communication, and leadership skills
What Makes You Stand Out
Prior product design experience with mobile/off-highway hydraulic components, sub-systems, or structure design
Knowledge of construction, forestry, agriculture, or other off-highway equipment
Prior experience with Root Cause Analysis tools and problem-solving packages
Experience as a team leader, integration lead or subject matter expert
Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
Minimum of a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering degree
