Title: Product Engineer, Engine Auxiliary - 77255

Your Responsibilities

As a Product Engineer, Engine Auxiliary for John Deere Construction and Forestry Division located in Dubuque, IA., you will…

  • Lead the development and design of engine auxiliary components (fuel tank, engine mounts, front drive systems, exhaust systems, etc.) starting form early concept through to production launch

  • Work closely with suppliers, manufacturing, supply management, test, and quality through the production delivery process

  • Launch new components/products into serial production

  • Support current production improvements efforts as necessary

What Skills You Need

  • Engineering experience obtained through educational projects, relevant internships, or practical work experience.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Ability to work in a team environment with leadership potential.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with ability to be self-directed and motivated.

  • Project management & task assignment skills.

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% (both domestic and internationally).

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Knowledge or experience with construction equipment.

  • Engine auxiliary design or testing experience.

  • Work experience in a product development role.

  • Experience using Creo/Pro-E or other 3D modeling software

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering discipline
