Function: Product Engineering
Title: Product Verification & Validation Engineer - 56205
As a Product Verification & Validation Engineer, at John Deere's Construction & Forestry Division, located in Dubuque, IA, you will develop verification plans for electrical components, sub-systems, & systems. You will execute test or analysis plans for product verification and validation (PV&V). In addition, you will:
Participate on internal teams to drive methodology and efficiency improvements
Provide problem solving of electrical issues on new product development and current production
Participate on PDP (Product Delivery Process) teams as the Electrical Product Verification & Validation (PV&V) representative, ensuring PV&V activities and plans are formulated and followed
Engage in applying PV&V tools on PDP teams
Encourage early interaction of both customer and supplier input to team activities
Participate in print reviews and design reviews of new products

What Skills You Need
1 or more years of Electrical Engineering experience performing analysis, testing and/or design work for a defined portion of a project
Experience with electrical and environmental verification testing
What Makes You Stand Out
Working knowledge or experience with electrical wire harness circuits and routing
Working knowledge or experience with electrical components, such as: batteries, starters, alternators, rocker switches, relays, solenoids, sensors, actuators, and connectors
Experience working with suppliers in the application of electrical components
Ability to write concise test reports
Experience in product verification and validation work
Understanding of serial communications
Understanding of CAN communication
Education (or equivalent work experience)
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
