Function: Quality Engineering
Title: Quality Engineer - 75569
As a Quality Engineer for John Deere Dubuque Works located in Dubuque, IA, you will support assembly in the Backhoe Module. In addition, you will:
Use data to investigate, contain and resolve quality issues through root cause identification
Work with cross functional teams to design inherent quality validation into processes
Lead quality planning and execution discussions (PMFEA, Control Plan, QIT) and maintain historical performance documentation and metrics for team
Execute engineering workflow activities to support design and process changes
What Skills You Need
3 or more years of Quality experience
Work experience involving hands on use of quality tools, such as FMEA, SPC, Root Cause Analysis, DPAR, PPAP, DMAIC, Six Sigma and 8D Problem Solving
Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with salaried and wage personnel in a team environment
Knowledge of basic data analysis techniques (e.g. pareto charts, histograms, pie and bar charts and control plans)
Knowledge of drawing and schematic interpretation, product models, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
A self-starter with the ability to execute a variety of tasks with little supervision
Experience with Change Management processes
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
What Makes You Stand Out
3 or more years of experience exhibiting technical aptitude in one of the following areas: hydraulics, powertrain, structures, electrical and/or manufacturing processes
Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Demonstrated team leadership and mentoring experiences
Direct experience in one or more related engineering areas: manufacturing, industrial, methods, reliability, design, warehousing and distribution
Experience with MPPlanner
Programming language experience (Python, SQL, etc.)
Ideally, you will have a degree or 5 or more years of equivalent related work experience in the following:
Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology
