Title: Senior Display System Engineer - 81036

Onsite/Remote: Onsite Position

Your Responsibilities

As a Sr. Display System Engineer for John Deere Construction and Forestry located in Dubuque, IA, you will…

  • Define software functional requirements and interface for primary displays

  • Coordinate display software delivery with the Product Groups, UX, Requirement and Software PV&V teams

  • Define and integrate display hardware and software into vehicle platforms

  • Define display hardware requirements for upcoming programs

  • Support current production hardware field issues and part obsolescence

  • Work with electronic suppliers to ensure component interface and quality meet John Deere needs

What Skills You Need

  • Experience writing functional, performance and durability requirements

  • Excellent communication skills and experience leading small teams

  • Strong, demonstrated problem solving skills

  • Project leadership experience, demonstrating scheduling, task planning and resource management

  • The ability to work in a self- directed environment and mentor fellow engineers

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Technical experience relating to the design and diagnostics of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems

  • Technical skills and knowledge in CAN communications protocols such as the J1939 and ISO 14229 standards

  • Technical skills and knowledge in Ethernet communication protocol

  • Demonstrated experience in Systems Engineering or MIT/CalTech certificate completion

  • Familiarity with operating Construction, Forestry or Ag off- road equipment


Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, System Engineering, Software Engineering or equivalent
