Title: 3rd Shift Production Control Supervisor - 75201

Your Responsibilities

As a 3rd Shift Production Control Supervisor for John Deere Harvester Works in East Moline, IL you will supervise the off-shift staff of Material Coordinators. In this role, you will be responsible for replenishment execution to ensure timely delivery of parts to point of use to support the production schedule. In addition, you will:

  • Be a subject matter expert for SAP and shop floor material flow processes, acting as a point of contact for tactical coordination of material

  • Conduct root cause and data analysis related to material availability

  • Perform administrative duties related to performance management, resource planning, training and development of team members

  • Manage and improve material flow efficiency through Continuous Improvement activities with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Operations

What Skills You Need

  • 2+ years’ experience in Material Flow, Operations, Manufacturing Engineering or Supply Management

  • Strong knowledge of SAP (IM/WM, Production Planning, Materials Management) and replenishment strategies

  • Experience responding to urgent situations and working in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience working cross functionally to support shared goals and visions

  • Effective communication skills

  • Effective root cause analysis to support daily decision making

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Demonstrated strength in process execution and relationship building

  • Demonstrated ability to lead change without direct authority

  • Experience in two or more functional areas of the business


Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Business/Management, Supply Management or Engineering/Technology discipline
