Title: Container Specialist - 77166
As a Container Specialist for John Deere Harvester Works located in East Moline, IL, you will manage the returnable container processes and planning with the Container Management Center to ensure warehousing and logistics needs as well as customer satisfaction. Drive cost reduction and develop process improvements. I n addition, you will:
Manage relationship with local Container Management Center (CMC).
Support daily returnable container activities, select providers, and negotiate contracts on the repair, cleaning, etc. of containers.
Manage projects for current and new production part containerization and handling or the solution of complex container problems.
Ensure that container operations are fully aligned with company activities in liaison with other units.
Identify gaps and recommend solutions for continuous improvement, e.g. establishes cost systems for the logistics and transportation of containers.
Improves part delivery methods and documentation. Recommends process changes and/or improvements to ensure higher safety, better quality, lower cost, and faster delivery.

What Skills You Need
1 or more years of experience with the Order Fulfillment Process.
1 or more years of experience using SAP to include Requirements Planning and Materials Management.
1 or more years of experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Office, etc.
What Makes You Stand Out
1 or more years of experience using Data analytics tools such as Tableau & Power BI.
1 or more years of experience with the Product Delivery Process.
1 or more years of experience in factory shop floor operations.
Project management experience.
Knowledge of receiving and warehousing processes to include knowledge of SAP Warehouse Management.
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Associate’s degree or higher, preferably in Supply Management, Operations Management, Business, or Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering.
