This position is eligible for a PARTIAL telework work schedule arrangement at the present time. The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change.
As a Customer Support Engineer for John Deere Harvester Works located in East Moline, IL , you will….
Define and integrate customer and product support requirements for modules, distributed systems, and vehicle architectures during product development process - Technology Delivery Process, Architecture Development Process, Integrated Systems Delivery Process and Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP).
Champion the diagnostic development process creating robust and effective diagnostic trouble codes and troubleshooting aids aligned with enterprise strategy to diagnose problems in less than one hour.
Verify serviceability at module, system and vehicle levels using virtual and physical builds to evaluate remove and reinstall times, repair strategies and special tool needs.
Actively interact with production system architects to integrate customer and product support initiatives in early concepts for smooth integration in to Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP).

What Skills You Need
4 or more years technical experience relating to design/diagnostics of mechanical/electrical/hydraulic systems
1 or more years of experience working directly with customers and/or dealers
1 or more years factory experience including regular interfacing with design, engineering, manufacturing; worldwide geographic area of responsibility; focused product-specific knowledge
What Makes You Stand Out
Experience with customer interaction regarding products, parts, and services
Experience on multiple combine or front end equipment design teams
Knowledge of and experience operating in an AGILE environment
Current knowledge of the harvesting production system trends and an outlook to future direction
Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- University Degree in an Engineering/Technology, Science, or Agricultural Sciences discipline or equivalent experience
