Title: Developer - 55709

Your Responsibilities

As a Software Engineer for John Deere in East Moline, IL, you will design, build and deliver software for the products/components that make up the Channel IT Service Operations product suite and be involved with the technical implementation of the external integration points of certain systems within the product suite. In addition, you will:

  • Operate within an Agile team and participate in all aspects of that team's work regarding software analysis, development and testing

  • Contribute to the team's technical practices leveraging industry standards for development practices

  • Collaborate with other team members on product architecture, scalability, integrations

  • Collaborate with other John Deere groups on the integrations of the Solution and those corresponding systems

  • Work alongside other team members in the development of a DevOps culture in the Service Operations space

  • Practices include but nt limited to TDD, Automated Testing, XP, CI/CD, Monitoring

  • Mentor other team members where applicable

What Skills You Need

  • 3+ years of experience in Java, Spring, and/or JavaScript application development

  • 2+ years of experience with React and NodeJS technologies

  • 2+ years of a demonstrated understanding of test-driven development (TDD), acceptance testing, and continuous integration principles

  • 2+ years software development in an agile environment

  • Ability to analyze, translate, define business requirements data and from multiple data sources into technical solutions by participating and/or leading discussions with internal Business Stakeholders and John Deere Dealers

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Full stack development experience

  • Excellent collaboration/communication skills

  • Experience developing on the AWS platform

  • Experience developing on the Azure platform

  • Knowledge and experience with Service Tools being used by John Deere dealers

  • Knowledge of John Deere dealer service processes

  • Knowledge of Enterprise Data Lake and data bricks

Education (or equivalent work experience)

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering or a similar discipline and/or equivalent work experience
