Title: Electrical Systems Engineer- 84100

Onsite/Remote:Partial Remote Position

Your Responsibilities

As an Electrical Systems Engineer for John Deere Global Crop Harvesting located in Silvis, IL, you willdevelop vehicle electrical systems on combines and front-end equipment. You will work closely with Supply Management, Quality, Product Verification & Validation (PV&V), Program Management and other cross-functional teams throughout the product development process.In addition,you will:

  • Develop vehicle electrical system requirements in collaboration with module teams

  • Release components into the John Deere production system

  • Provide build support throughout the product development cycle

  • Work with outside suppliers on component feasibility, development, and integration

What Skills You Need

  • Experience with electrical components, schematics, and wire harnesses

  • A good understanding of the interaction between software/hardware

  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage time effectively

  • Provide clear and concise oral/written communication

  • Ability to work off-shift hours, as needed, to support production during builds

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally, up to 10%

What Makes You Stand Out

  • 1 or more years of vehicle electrical system design, integration, and/or testing experience

  • Knowledge of general product development processes

  • Agriculture or other off-highway vehicle development experience

  • Experience developing wiring harnesses and electrical systems using 3D CAD tools and schematic software

  • Experience reviewing or authoring electrical system functional and/or component requirements

  • Experience with systems engineering practices

  • Experience working with virtual team members

  • Advanced training in additional engineering disciplines

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • BachelorsdegreeinElectrical or System Engineering or other related discipline
