John Deere Material Coordinator in East Moline, Illinois

Primary Location: United States (US) - Illinois - East Moline

Function: Operations

Title: Material Coordinator - 77336

Your Responsibilities

As a Material Coordinator at John Deere Harvester Works in East Moline, Illinois, you will coordinate the procurement of internally manufactured and externally procured production materials. In addition, you will:

  • Work critical shortage reports to ensure part availability, while utilizing SAP and additional tools to support aspects of the material delivery process

  • Communicate part availability issues and resolution to operations and other key stakeholders

  • Work closely with several functional areas including operations, engineering , supply management, and material flow to root cause and correct material shortages, inventory discrepancies, reporting issues, and consumption issues

  • Implement the output from the engineering release and change management process

  • Actively support the Continuous Improvement (CI) process and shop floor initiatives

  • Support work in a variable shift based on business needs (this could fill a 1st or 3rd shift position)

What Skills You Need

  • 1 or more years’ experience with Excel

  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and work within a team in a fast-paced atmosphere

  • Data analysis and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work overtime, both daily and weekend, or work off shift

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Knowledge of Manufacturing, Warehousing, Order Fulfillment, Supply Management, and/or Material Flow processes

  • SAP experience

  • Experience working with factory shop floor operations

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Marketing or Engineering
