Function: Manufacturing Engineering
Title: Part-Time Student Maintenance - East Moline, IL - 54492
As a facilities/maintenance Part Time Student, you will assist in the design and installation of building features and internal equipment for various small projects such as concrete pavement/floor slabs, foundation design, general remodeling projects, truck docks, cranes, conveyors, storage racks, etc.
The tasks would include: assist with the development of project criteria, gather necessary field documentation, review and check design documentation from engineering consultants, observe construction activities, and final verification and testing.
Update and Maintain Preventative Maintenance Plans in the SAP PM module
Analyze Original Equipment Manufacturer documentation to prepare new preventative maintenance plans
Aid in the requisition and purchase of repair parts and equipment
Extract and analyze plant maintenance metric information from SAP
Generate daily/weekly reports tracking PM compliance and departmental delay
Assist Maintenance Engineers in assorted project management tasks
What It Takes
Basic knowledge of
mechanics of materials
analysis and design of simple structures
use of software tools such as CAD, spreadsheets, and project management tools.
Pursuing a four-year degree preferably in an Engineering/Technology discipline.
Must be registered as a full-time student at a local university
Must be able to commute to the work location on a daily basis
Graduation date of December 2020 or later
Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
16 - 20 hours/week during the academic year
35 - 40 hours/week during the summer semester
A strong candidate will also have
- Understand and use basic engineering principles, and apply problem solving skills to define, design, install, and verify the project work related to facilities and maintenance engineering.
