Title: Senior Embedded Software Engineer - 76594
As a Senior Embedded Software Engineer, at Global Crop Harvesting Product Design Center for Intelligent Solutions Group (ISG) , you will be performing software development (C, C++, QT, Matlab/Simulink), testing, and integration of software components to control a Combine harvesting vehicle. You will also perform embedded system engineering tasks, including:
Perform requirements analysis, operational concept development, software system design/architecture, component integration, design reviews, vehicle platform testing and problem solving.
Provide technical leadership and guidance for the software team’s developers and collaborate with enterprise software teams as a key stakeholder for the Combine software team.
Assign, coordinate, and review work from other engineers and support personnel. Mentor engineers within the team on embedded software work.
Analyze and drive for resolution of complex software issues.
What Skills You Need
Expert in embedded software development with C/C++ programming language and/or Model Based Software Design (MBSD) using the Matlab/Simulink tool chain.
Strong technical skills in the areas of software development, hardware integration, and electrical systems.
Demonstrated leadership capability and project management skills.
Strong communication skills.
Strong troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work in a self-directed environment and mentor fellow engineers.
Knowledge of product development processes.
What Makes You Stand Out↵
Experience with embedded operating systems and CAN communications J1939 protocol.
Experience in machine learning theory and learning algorithms.
Technical experience relating to design and diagnostics of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in Agricultural or Construction vehicles.
Technical skills and knowledge in portable electronic design, communication bus interfaces, GPS systems, wireless communications, and mobile application development.
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering or Computer Science.
