Title: Senior Software Engineer, Microsoft DevOps - 65455
As a Senior Software Engineer for the Dealer Microsoft DevOps Team at John Deere located in East Moline, Illinois, you will be a technical leader enabling CI/CD in Azure DevOps for Azure, Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, Dynamics 365 Field Service, Dynamics 365 CRM, and the Microsoft Power Platform. In addition, you will:
Lead the collaboration with many groups within John Deere such as the Dealer Channel Architecture Team, OneCloud, Security Teams, Infrastructure/Operations, and the Dealer Channel Business Team
Design and maintain build and release pipelines within Azure DevOps to enable DevOps practices
Design code repository strategies that enable developers to be most efficient
Construct Azure Resource Manager (ARM) Templates to deploy IaaS and PaaS resources in Azure
Create and maintain Azure environments using Azure Blueprints & Policies
Build tools to interact with Microsoft products that aren't natively available through Azure DevOps
Be an advocate for DevOps practices by coaching developers and other IT staff on how to best utilize the tools being put in place
Be a security champion by collaborating with the Deere Security by Design team when implementing or changing technologies
Collaborate with Technical Architects, fellow DevOps team members, and Product Owners to leverage the Microsoft platform in the design, selection, development, implementation, and maintenance to successfully deliver to John Deere dealers
Be an active member of an Agile team, working closely with other team members to ensure that the tools developed by multiple development teams will function together to meet or exceed the product quality and availability specifications required by John Deere dealers

Proven Technical Skills and Experiences
4 or more years of experience in cloud development on Azure platforms
7 or more years of deep experience leveraging DevSecOps and lean development principles such as Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
Experience with infrastructure-as-code and automation
An ability and an interest in continually learning and mastering the rapidly evolving Microsoft Azure, Dynamics 365, and Office 365 platform
8 or more years of understanding of applications development environment, database, data management and infrastructure capabilities and constraints
7 or more years of proven experience in an Agile/Scrum team environment
4 or more years of working understanding of full-stack design patterns and designing loosely coupled architectures
2 or more years of experience deploying and operating applications using Microsoft Azure resources (Microsoft Azure certification preferred)
2 or more years of experience developing Azure resource templates (automation) and using Azure Pipelines
Interpersonal, Leadership and Teaming Competencies
Capable of collaborating with multiple business stakeholders to provide information technology solution
Skilled in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution
Proven experience as a work lead providing technical coaching and mentoring to others
Proven strong leadership skill and experience, influence effectively, ability to resolve impediments in a timely manner
Learning Agility / Innovative - desire and openness for continuous technical learning and identifying areas for application
Knowledge of John Deere dealer tools and processes
Sense of ownership, curiosity, and ability to function in a fast paced, collaborative team environment that is distributed across various time zones and locations
Education (or equivalent work experience)
Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent work experience in the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience in a related career field.
