Title: Software Delivery Architect - 50986

Your Responsibilities

As a Software Delivery Architect for John Deere Information Services, you will design, build and deliver software for the products, components and integrations used by the Service Departments at our John Deere Dealerships. Systems involved will have a focus on the work order delivery system suite as well as involvement with our service agreement product; Service Admin Portal (SVAP). In addition, you will;

  • Work on building out one of the foundational cornerstones of the Service Operations platform in utilizing the Microsoft Dynamics CE platform and Azure

  • Operate within an Agile team and participate in all aspects of that team's work regarding software analysis, design, development and testing

  • Lead all aspects of a team's technical practices such as selecting design solutions and leveraging industry standards for development practices within the team

  • Work regularly with management to establish product roadmaps, improve the product development process, and provide technical expertise to business leaders

  • Collaborate with Architecture, Service Operations, Analytics and other John Deere teams on strategic insights, product direction, scalability and integrations of the work order delivery and SVAP system

  • Collaborates with other John Deere groups on the integrations of the work order delivery and SVAP solution and those corresponding systems

  • Lead the development of a DevOps culture within the work order delivery and SVAP engineering teams. Practices include but not limited to TDD, Automated Testing, XP, CI/CD, Monitoring

  • Work alongside other team members in the development of a DevOps culture in the Service Operations space. Practices include but not limited to TDD, Automated Testing, XP, CI/CD, Monitoring

What Skills You Need

  • 5 or more years of experience in Java, Spring, C# and/or JavaScript application development

  • 3 or more years of a demonstrated understanding of test-driven development (TDD), acceptance testing, and continuous integration principles

  • 4 or more years of software development in an agile environment

  • Ability to analyze and solve complex application problems

  • Ability to analyze, translate, and define business requirements into technical solutions by participating and/or leading discussions with internal Business Partners and/or discussions with John Deere Dealers

  • Ability to combine and analyze data from multiple data sources based on requests from internal Business Stakeholders and John Deere Dealers

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Experience developing on the Microsoft Dynamics CE platform

  • Experience developing on the Azure platform

  • Experience developing on the AWS platform

  • Excellent collaboration/communication skills

  • Demonstrated experience with React and Node JS technologies

  • Experience with Service Software Tools being used by John Deere dealers

  • Knowledge of John Deere dealer service processes

Education (or equivalent work experience)

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a similar discipline and/or equivalent work experience
