Title: Software Engineer - 66254

Your Responsibilities

As a Software Engineer for John Deere World Headquarters, located in Moline, IL, you will be a key team member in designing, delivery, and support of the processes, integrated tools, and responsibilities for the JDAim product within Channel IT. In addition, you will:

  • Develop, code, configure, and test programs and systems

  • Evaluate and implement enhancement design solutions to improve cost, quality, and performance of the software product

  • Analyze assignments and determine software specifications that must be fulfilled to achieve objectives

  • Collaborate with other relevant stakeholders and team members to ensure that features meet business needs

  • Follow industry-standard agile software design methodology

  • Partner with the Product Owner to assess/score defect issues and refine the backlog

  • Execute policies, processes, and goals that enhance optimal use of JDAim, minimize customer reliance on support, and lead to dealer satisfaction

Proven Technical Skills and Experiences

  • Database experience; SQL, Oracle, DB2

  • Experience in the design, development, testing and integration of high complex software solutions in Java web development with Sprint and Restful APIs leveraging change management

  • Experience in an Agile/Scrum team environment

  • Experience leveraging DevSecOps and lean development principles such as Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery

  • Working understanding of full-stack design patterns and designing loosely coupled architectures

  • Experience working with Test Driven Development and Unit Test Frameworks

  • 1 or more years exposure to or understanding of ETL processes

Interpersonal, Leadership and Teaming Competencies

  • Capable of collaborating with multiple business stakeholders to provide information technology solution

  • Skilled in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution

  • Proven experience as working in a team environment

  • Customer Data experience

Education (or equivalent work experience)

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience in a related career field
