Function: Quality Engineering
Title: Supplier Quality Engineer - 55592
As a Supplier Quality Engineer for John Deere Harvester Works located in East Moline, IL, you will assist in identifying, communicating and resolving supplier quality problems. In addition, you will:
Investigate quality related issues and concerns related to product and processes
Gather and analyze data, help determine root cause, facilitate resolution and implement corrective action
Verify supplier processes (pFMEA, control plans, work instructions) and confirm process capability
Perform supplier quality audits to validate supplier process and adherence to JDS-G223 Supplier Quality manual
Provide quality planning, control, and improvement support for manufacturing engineering, supply management, and operations to assure John Deere products quality meets the customers' expectations
Develop and oversee internal Supplier Quality processes to further improve the supply base

What Skills You Need
Experience with drawing and schematic interpretation, product models, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
Experience with standard quality tools such as 8D corrective action, FMEA (Failure Modes Effect Analysis), SPC (Statistical Process Control), gage R&R, and Root Cause Analysis
Knowledge of International Standards Organization (ISO) requirements and JDS-G223 standard
Knowledge of advanced quality tools including data gathering/mining, statistical analysis techniques and CTQs
What Makes You Stand Out
Knowledge of Combine and Header products
Experience in Supply Management
Experience in one or more related engineering areas: industrial, production, methods, reliability, design, manufacturing
Experience in Supplier Audits: JDS-G223, Supplier Process Audits, Supplier Verification Audits
Experience with JDSN
Education (or equivalent work experience)
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology OR equivalent years of industrial experience
