Your Responsibilities
As an EHS Representative for John Deere ISG located in Fargo, ND , you will….
Compile and analyze necessary data, documentation and correspondence to comply with safety regulations and health and safety management system requirements.
Develop recommendations for health and safety processes/programs to meet the John Deere health and safety standards and comply with applicable laws and regulations.
Participates in unit strategic planning processes.
Coordinate safety audits and risk assessments to identify noncompliance with John Deere standards processes and applicable laws and regulations.
Manages corrective action and preventative action processes.
Lead incident investigations and ergonomic reviews and assists in determining effective corrective action. Assist in corrective action development and ensure follow-up.
Review new products, equipment and processes for potential hazards and compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
Respond to internal and external questions and requests for information relevant to safety and health issues from acquired knowledge and experience.
Develop and deliver safety education and training for employees.
Collaborate with engineering to reduce process risk and improve safety and ergonomics.

What Skills You Need
3 or more years of experience in a manufacturing operation, manufacturing engineering, or industrial engineering environment.
Investigation skills to determine root cause and conduct trend analysis of incidents.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and factory operations.
Skill in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
Working in a collaborative team environment.
Effective time and project management.
Knowledge of governmental/agency regulatory requirements or legislation, occupational health principles, occupational safety programs and ergonomic principles, and ability to apply to workplace environments.
Ability to use various department specific computer programs.
Understanding of occupational health, safety, industrial hygiene and ergonomic principles
What Makes You Stand Out
2 or more years of practical experience leading investigations to determine root cause and trends analysis.
Knowledge of different Root Cause methods.
2 or more years of practical experience applying governmental/agency regulatory requirements or legislation, occupational health principles, occupational safety programs, and ergonomic principles in the workplace.
Workers Compensation experience.
1 or more years of experience implementing occupational health, safety, industrial hygiene, and ergonomic principles in a union environment.
Ability to work independently.
ASP/CSP certification
Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent experience
