Title: Part-Time Student - Strategic Quality - Fargo, ND - 112216

Onsite/Remote: Onsite Position

Note: Relocation assistance is not provided.

The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company’s regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule YEAR-ROUND .

Your Responsibilities

As a PTS Strategic Quality for Intelligent Solutions Group located in Fargo, ND , you will:

  • Creation and maintenance of strategic quality dashboards to create insights for strategic quality improvements. These include supplier performance and development projects.

  • Data analysis for non-conformances, issue, corrective actions, problem resolution cycle time (PRCT) in NCCA and Agile PLM systems

  • Process improvement support: Gather process data, create process map, identify improvement opportunities based on data

  • Initial communication of component issues with the supply base, including follow-up and escalation within ISG Fargo

  • Complete issue data entry for monthly QPPM worksheets for Fargo and Torreon

This position is not available to students on immigration visas.

What Skills You Need

  • Proficient using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Ability to learn new computer systems

  • Ability to work in a team environment

  • Ability to gather and interpret data and self-direct accordingly

  • Must be able to commute to the work location as needed

  • Available to work on and complete assignments remotely

  • An interest in working with processes and process data

  • Willingness to learn and ask questions

  • Experience with quality tools (Pareto chart, fishbone, cause & effect diagram, 3 legged 5 why)

  • Knowledge of lean/six sigma principles

  • Ideally you will be majoring in Industrial or Quality Engineering; others may apply

  • Must be registered as a full-time student at a university or college local to the Fargo/Moorhead area (NDSU, MUSM, Concordia)

  • Must be available to work a minimum of 12 months

  • Graduation date of 2026 only or later

  • Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above

$15 - $40 hourly based on published rates for business function and education level.
