Title: Design Engineer
Primary Location: Mexico (MX)- Nuevo Len JD Shared Svcs-Monterrey
Function: Engineering (CA)

Main Responsabilities:
Be part of the Vehicle Structures Design group in the Enterprise Technology Engineering Center (ETEC), supporting EPDP projects and CI projects for the Round Balers Team in Ottumwa. Some of the responsibilities are:
Perform design changes on the Round Baler machines.
Propose engineering solutions for structural designs and perform analyses.
Coordinate with various global and cross-functional teams (Design, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Management, etc.) to ensure that the design meets requirements.
Continuous Improvement, Warranties, Customer Support, Product Quality, PDPs, and BOM administration.
Work on Cost Reduction projects.
Participate in Design, Assembly, and Functional Geometry Reviews.
Achieve product design deadlines.
What Skills You Need:
Technical Skills:
Modeling and Drafting knowledge. Proficiency in CAD (CREO Parametric preferred)
Strong background in Mechanical Engineering.
Mechanism design, Stress reduction, FBD, Material properties and mechanics, fatigue, etc.
FEA/FEM interpretation
Analytical skills like to perform calculations.
Experience designing mechanical parts
Knowledge of fundamental manufacturing methods.
Soft Skills:
Fluent in English and strong communication skills
Self-Learner
Ability to interact with different functional groups.
Proactive and Strong Drive for Results
Ability to lead projects.
Positive team attitude
What Makes You Stand Out:
At least 2 years of experience in design engineering work.
GD&T knowledge.
Skilled user of Creo Modelling and PDM Windchill.
Basic knowledge of dynamic and static simulations.
Experience designing weldments and casting parts.
Knowledge on belts and spring mechanisms.
Education:
Degree in Mechanical engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Aeronautic engineering, or equivalent experience.
