Title: Embedded Software Engineer (Power Electronics)
Primary Location: Mexico (MX) - Monterrey - Nuevo León
Function: Information Technology
- This position will be working at the ETEC, assigned to a software design team.
He/she will be responsible for implementing new and existing embedded software controls for power inverters meant for robust on/off road vehicles and harsh environments.
Knowledgeable with the 'V' model software development.
This person should be able to:
use C programming language for embedded systems
understand electrical schematics
setup low-level Hardware configuration on microcontrollers;
setup a testbench for HiL testing;
understand and set-up Matlab Simulink models (Model-Based Software Design & Simulation);
This person will perform tasks to meet quality, delivery and cost goals with supervision.
What Skills You Need
- 2-3+ years of experience with firmware (Embedded Software) development
2-3 years of experience C programming language for embedded systems
Experience with Real Time Operative Systems (RTOS)
Experience with development and debugging tools (e.g. source level debuggers, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multi-meters, etc.)
Experience with microcontroller architectures, peripherals and systems (e.g. PWM outputs, boot loaders, A/D converters, watchdog timers, etc.)
Experience with SW compilation process and scripts
Experience with communication protocols such as CAN & SPI
Good written and verbal communication skills (English)
Proactive and collaborative team member
What Makes You Stand Out
- Experience with power electronics (power inverters, converters, chargers, BMS, etc.)
Experience with MATLAB-Simulink and Visual Studio
Experience with alternate programming languages such as C++ and Python
B.S. Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Digital Systems, and Robotics Engineering or similar.
