As a Delivery Architect at John Deere Customer and Product Support IT in Monterrey, Mexico you will be the technical architect of an agile development team dedicated to the development and delivery of solutions for John Deere Custom Performance. In this role you will:
Create architectural design documentation.
Work with business stakeholders, development teams to reach agreement on the requirements.
Apply information analysis to assist in the effective integration of data to create business solutions.
Participate in creation of project plans and schedule to meet business requirements.
What Skills You Need:
Provide technical guidance to software development teams.
Participate in team runway activities from designing technical documentation through product delivery and support.
Operates within an Agile team. Provide guidance on coding standards, workflow, and tool standards.
Typically provides guidance to other team members of design solutions or coding practices within the team.
Considered an expert within the team on tools and technology in use.
Expected to work with junior members of the team by pairing, coaching and review.
Occasionally provides input into the product development strategy and roadmaps.
Excellent communicator who thrives on solving problems and working in a team environment.
7+ years of experience with web software development.
7+ years of experience Java development experience.
Experience with applications development environment, database, data administration and infrastructure capabilities and constraints.
Understanding of service oriented architecture.
Experience working with Test Driven Development, Acceptance Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, Test Automation.
Experience with Agile development process.
Proven experience designing large scale applications
Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions and communicating those solutions to one or more development teams.
Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%.
What Makes You Stand Out:
Demonstrated ability to lead the technical direction of a team and to influence without direct authority
Experience with Java/J2EE programming/software/server side development.
Experience working with REST web services, Spring, Maven, Hibernate, IntelliJ or RAD/Eclipse IDE.
Experience working with Amazon Web Services platform technologies; Kinesis, RDS, EC2/ECS, S3, SQS, EMR, etc.
Experience with infrastructure as code
Demonstrated ability to work with complex applications requiring high performance and scalability.
Experience working with offshore development teams.
Education (or equivalent experience):
- Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience in a related career field.
