This is a temporary position for 12 months.
What you’ll do:
Leads and/or supports a Strategic Sourcing team with the development and implementation of sourcing strategies, meeting Enterprise Product Delivery Process and Enterprise Order Fulfillment Process requirements/goals on product cost, schedule and quality for the unit. In the Enterprise Product Delivery Process, plays a key role in integrating suppliers early in the process to optimize design and cost.
Builds and develops a supply base for procuring complex and strategic materials, products, supplies and services.
Coordinates and leads efforts to address chronic supplier performance issues.
What it takes:
Understanding of Order Fulfillment Process.
Skill in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
Knowledge of advanced data gathering and analysis techniques, including statistical analysis.
Knowledge of unit processes and operations.
Experience in specific areas of Supply Management such as: supplier integration, strategic supply management, supplier development, module supply management, scheduling, forecasting, logistics, etc.
Project management experience.
Work experience in a team environment.
Special considerations: This position requires flexibility to work after hours or during the weekend, due to the program requirements. Travel disposition all the time, and support any special requirements at IJD or any other Deere units.
Degree in an Engineering/Technology/Supply Management discipline or equivalent experience.
Business agreements with suppliers Business Market knowledge.
EPDP process knowledge. SM coordinating experience. Availability to talk in front of big group of people.
