Title: Warranty Engineer - SG7

Primary Location: Mexico (MX) - Coahuila IJD Saltillo

Function: Quality Engineering

Main responsibilities

Provides quality planning, control, and improvement support for product development teams, manufacturing engineering, supply management, and manufacturing and/or distribution organizations to assure John Deere product quality meets the customers' expectations. This includes the application of quality tools within the Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP), Enterprise Order Fulfillment Process (EOFP) and Customer Support Process (CSP). Also supports application of quality tools with key suppliers as an integral element of quality planning.

What skills you need

  • Create and implement strategies in order to achieve the goals of the quality key metrics

  • Uses quality tools and practices to establish approval criteria to ensure the identification of quality failure concerns for both internal and external manufactured parts and assemblies. An example is Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (FMEA).

  • Investigates product quality problems, provide data analysis , parts and field information to support root cause investigation.

  • Data analytics skills to manage SAS enterprise system and develop tools to help the metric.

  • Lead meeting, delegate activities and follow up issues to ensure the appropriate closure.

  • Manage NCCA system and participate actively on changes and updates.

  • Ensure R&A and cost reduction by warranty projects goal.

  • Facilitates and writes quality procedures for the purpose of maintaining/updating the factory quality system and supports quality system audits, reviews results with audit team, and participates in management review meetings.

  • Deliverables follow up and logistic movements administration.

What makes you stand out

  • Knowledge of standard quality tool such as FMEA (Failure Modes Effect Analysis), SPC (Statical Process Control), Root Cause Analysis, Statistics.

  • Knowledge of products, customers, markets and field usages.

  • Knowledge of advanced data gathering and analysis techniques, including statistical analysis.

  • Effective communication skills.

  • Consistently execution of the process.

  • Power BI/Tableau/SAP


Bachelor´s degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical engineering, or equivalent experience.

This position will be posted for a minimum of 7 business days and unposted when a qualified pool of candidates is achieved.

Candidates must have the necessary work permits to work in the country.
