Your Responsibilities

As an Instructor/Supervisor for the John Deere Training Centre with the Agriculture and Turf Division, you will manage a team of Instructors in Grimsby and Regina. You will conduct training on technology, equipment, and support services to give dealers, employees and customers a strategic advantage. In addition, you will:

  • Develop the training schedule for the assigned training locations and ensure the course offerings and timing are aligned with the needs of the region and dealers

  • Manage the following metrics for the assigned training location: revenue, student training days, podium days, facility utilization, class fill rates and course cancellations

  • Manage equipment inventory and other assets at the assigned training locations

  • Provide ongoing performance feedback and opportunities for continuous development to Instructors to ensure consistent and high-quality training delivery

  • Maintain regular communication with the Manager, Training Programs to provide updates regarding all aspects of the assigned Training Centre

What Skills You Need

  • Knowledge of learning and development processes including areas such as instructional skills, presentation skills, needs assessments, adult learning theory, curriculum development and other such related knowledge and skills

  • Training delivery experience and ability to deliver web based and face-to-face training

  • Ability to use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office plus intranet and internet functions

  • Willingness and ability to travel within Canada and the US (approximately 25% or more) to meet business needs

  • Valid driver's license

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Previous experience or knowledge of our dealer organization and their training needs

  • Demonstrated experience leading or managing a team

  • Strong technical/mechanical background

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Knowledge of current agricultural equipment products

Education (or Equivalent Work Experience)

  • Degree in an Education, Agricultural, or Business discipline
