Title: Electrical & Software Test Engineer-89932
As an Electrical & Software Test Engineer for Turf & Compact Utility Platform at John Deere located in Grovetown, GA you will analyze hardware requirements, plan, coordinate , and perform testing on electrical components and agricultural machines. In addition, you will:
Interface between electrical component teams and test teams to drive test requirements for component development
Conduct electrical routing quality audits for vehicles across the turf and compact utility tractor platform
Execute vehicle level EMC validation and verification activities. Document results and recommendations in engineering reports.
Align software and hardware test activities to meet Product Development Process schedules, and coordinate testing with Product Verification & Validation activities.
Prioritize and coordinate the use of lab test resources.
Create and document new test methods and procedures as required.
Help establish short and long-term objectives, goals, and priorities for the test lab.

What Skills You Need
3 or more years of off road or automotive component and electrical systems design or test development and validation.
3 or more years' experience with vehicle electrical component and system integration with focus on any of the following: harnesses, switches, controls, electric drives, electrical power distribution
1 or more years' experience in vehicle or component level electrical software design/validation.
What Makes You Stand Out
Experience participating in PDP activities distributed across global teams
Experience evaluating vehicle performance and troubleshooting issues
Experience with the functionality and operation of tractor systems
Strong problem-solving skills, good character, and work well in team environment.
Skill using company information systems and processes such as SAP, RECON, Vision, NCCA and SharePoint
Knowledge of J1939 CAN and use of CAN interface tools such as Vector tool - CANcase
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering or a related field.
