Title: Factory Automation Engineer - Program and Test - 56583
As a Factory Automation Engineer, Program and Test for John Deere, you will manage and administer program & test systems usage throughout the facility including proprietary systems such as the Global Factory Programming Tool, JDTester and Smart Test. Additional responsibilities:
Facilitates communication among facility stakeholders, Program & Test competency leaders and Global IT to ensure maximum uptime and availability of program & test systems
Designs and implements robust program & test sequences as part of the Order Fulfillment Process (OFP) with cross-functional engineering, manufacturing and quality teams to ensure distinctive levels of product quality
Integrates into various continuous improvement processes to develop solutions to top opportunities in quality or efficiency/cost (CI200, QIT, CDT)
Leads implementation of updates and new test systems focused on product controller programming & product test
Represents facility stakeholders in developing, communicating and proposing updates or enhancements to existing systems to improve capabilities, uptime or availability
Collaborates with Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP) team members to deliver new products that meet program targets, while leveraging best practices developed in OFP

What Skills You Need
Knowledge of electrical systems, controls, software and measurement tools
Experience with root cause analysis, equipment/machine troubleshooting and diagnostics
Ability to understand electrical schematics and diagrams and relate to test stand programming and equipment requirements

Other areas of experience or interest that will help us place you on the right team include:
Knowledge of electrical systems design standards, common practices, engineering and measurement tools
2 or more years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, quality, or equivalent experience
Experience working in a manufacturing environment
Experience in one or more related engineering areas: electrical, controls, computer, manufacturing etc.
Experience with product test & verification systems - JDTester, National Instruments, and/or others
Experience with SQL or other relational databases
Experience in project management - moderate to large scale complex projects
Education (or equivalent work experience)
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Computer Science / Engineering Technology
