Function: Product Engineering
Title: Product Engineer - 41731
As a Product Engineer for Augusta Works, located in Grovetown, GA, you are responsible for developing and integrating new electrical/electronic system designs into multiple systems (Operator Station, Hydraulics, Electrical) on compact utility tractors as part of a design team. In addition, you will:
Be responsible for developing engineering documentation (specifications, source code, drawings) for electrical systems/sub-system, components, and software
Be responsible for electronic system/sub-system circuit design and analysis, reviewing control & operational logic with cross functional teams, and modifying specifications based on testing results
Be responsible for working with a global team to review software requirements to meet electrical system needs and setting priority to meet program deliverables
Use software task management tools to communicate software development needs to development teams and participate in progress update meetings
Be responsible for communicating software payload updates to factory automation and ensuring payloads are successfully launched into production
Be responsible for issue resolution and communication with continuous improvement on current production updates

What Skills You Need
3 or more years of experience in mobile equipment electrical system design
2 or more years of experience in developing software specifications for embedded microcontrollers and electrical components
Experience in specifying and selecting electrical components
Experience with J1939 CAN communication protocol and using CAN logging tools
Knowledge of electronic component and system test specifications and procedures

Other areas of experience or interest that will help us place you on the right team include:
Experience in electronic system/sub-system design, circuit design and analysis, and working with a design team to deliver integrated solutions across multiple systems
Experience with model based software development
Understanding of programming languages and software development tools for embedded micro-controllers in mobile applications
Experience with electronic circuit test and simulation tools to assist in analysis and verification of functional/subsystem design
Good understanding of electronic hardware (reading schematics and component data sheets, operating meters, oscilloscopes and emulators), electronic controls, harness design, utility tractor chassis layout, implements and attachments
Experience operating agricultural, construction, or landscape equipment
Education (or equivalent work experience)
Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent work experience in the following:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering
Master of Science in Electrical Engineering or a Systems Engineering certificate
