Your Position:


Product includes Equipment and Technology.

Provides development, communication, education, and training to John Deere Dealers and Unit employees on agronomic-based products, solutions, and farming systems that add value to Company, Channel, and End Users. Supports new initiatives, key tactics, and special projects based on regional needs and ambition alignment. Leverages product application and translates into channel ready solutions through interaction with designated dealer representatives. Works collaboratively with the Field Managers to achieve Branch Ambition Objectives by providing input into and support for execution of territory plans through the delivery of product and service solutions. Manages and maintains established partner relationships and agronomic research projects with institutions universities and agencies. Communicates with Tactical and Strategic Marketing, Platforms, as well as local Governmental, Agricultural Industry and Educational bodies to ensure product requirements are keeping abreast of the latest and emerging trends within our marketplace. Communicates collaboration opportunities, production trends, agronomic concepts, and provides feedback on farming systems to Strategic, Tactical, Sales and Customer Product Support functions.


  • Works collaboratively with field and channel partners to translate customer and/or market requirements into product solution offerings and services and assists dealers in preparation of execution of initiatives to achieve business objectives.

  • Develops Optimisation elements that are transferrable to the branch and dealer channel. Develops Best Practice process and framework based on application and adaptationto branch and Channel.

  • Leads the development and delivery of product and agronomic solutions to channel partners by developing and transferring new product and solutions and applications to meet customers' requirements.

  • Works with field team and channel partners to develop and execute plans to address opportunities.

  • Extracts customer requirements, relates product, and product application to Industry trends and develops dealers to be able to execute these components to market.

  • Leads communication and dealer instruction to increase awareness and adaptation of product and technology applications in all market segments.

  • Presents and demonstrates farming systems solutions at key events such as industry and dealer events, new product introductions, national and regional field events.

  • Establishes the interface with Branch, Platform, Strategic Marketing and Channel Partners to provide accurate data and analysis to improve product market intelligence, product performance, agronomic solutions and promotional activities on specific products.

  • Supports the product development activities of the incubator and advanced engineering through communication of industry trends, opportunities and developments and may be directly involved by providing direction and support for validation and verification of concepts,applications and market requirements.

  • Establishes and manages activities that support strategic partnership allegiances and research with key accounts, universities, government or affiliated companies.

  • Provides information on technical issues to the appropriate manufacturing functions and supports the DTAC unit for quick resolution and feedback on product challenges to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Counsels and develops channel partners, company employees and end users on farming systems solutions.

  • Serves as Subject Matter Expert to develop training curriculum with the training department.

Technical Skills & Knowledge:

Formal education or training required to perform the essential functions of the job. Includes degrees, certifications, licenses and/or registration requirements.

  • Degree in an Engineering/Technology discipline or equivalent experience.

  • Degree in an AgriculturalSciences discipline or equivalent experience.

  • Degree in a Marketing discipline or equivalent experience.

Relevant work experiences:

Type and amountof experience necessary to perform the essential functions of the job. May include specific roles and/or an understanding of a particular function, organization, and industry or product line.

  • Experience working in customer service or related customer-oriented environment.

  • Dealer/distributor development.

  • Field experience with regular customer contact, knowledge of dealer/distribution network, limited geographic area of responsibility, and broad product knowledge.

  • A broad background of our business from a marketing and manufacturing/engineering perspective.

  • Practical experience with John Deere machinery and equipment.

  • Demonstrated team leadership and mentoring experience.
