Your Responsibilities
This position may be located in Fuquay-Varina, NC, or Horicon, WI per the hiring manager's discretion.This may be dependent on the successful candidate's background, experience, and proficiency.
As a Senior Operations Accounting Analyst for John Deeres Greeneville, Horicon, and Turf Care factories, you will have the following responsibilities:
Conduct mid/high complexity (CAT2/3) investment decision analysis (DCF)
Have oversight of Capital Budget System (CBS), coordinating with factory leadership and SA&T (Small Ag & Turf)
Support month-end closing process, actual/forecast analysis, and process improvements
Provide work direction, teaching, and support to other team members
Lead ad-hoc special studies and analyses associated with cost reduction and business improvement
Provide financial counsel to management and other functional disciplines in the area of expertise

What Skills You Need
8 or more years of work experience in finance or accounting related activities
Understanding of key financial concepts such as budgets, forecasts, reconciliations, financial statements, GAAP or equivalent, having the ability to independently use the knowledge and teach others
Experience with capital budgeting, discounted cash flow analysis, and justification process
Capable of working directly with factory leadership teams, independent and self-driven
Excellent communication skills including written, oral, and presentation capabilities demonstrating the ability to communicate clearly and concisely complex and/or difficult concepts to non-finance stakeholders
Detailed oriented, analytical, data-driven, adaptable, teachable
Spreadsheet proficiency with strong experience with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel
Intellectual curiosity and a positive attitude
Team collaboration
Ability to travel domestically up to 25%
What Makes You Stand Out
Exposure to advanced excel tools, automation, graphing, and data visualization
Experience with Internal Control and Audit processes
Multiple unit work experience
Understanding/experience of concepts around Lean Manufacturing
SAP FICO, key finance queries, and transactions
Financial Certifications: CPA, CMA, CGMA
Education
Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
Bachelors degree in the Accounting/Finance discipline
