Function: Operations

Title: Supervisor Inventory Control - 55548

Your Responsibilities

As an Inventory Control Supervisor for John Deere Horicon Works located in Horicon, WI, you will administer the inventory accuracy calculations and reporting requirements for Corporate and our outside auditing firm, Deloitte & Touche. In addition, you will:

  • Deploy the salaried Inventory Analysts and wage workforce assigned who accomplish audits which support our annual reporting requirements

  • Lead the examination of inventory errors and their root cause, ultimately suggesting and/or implementing solutions

  • Compile weekly and monthly inventory accuracy related statistics and data to summarize and publish for both the units' awareness, but also Compliance required by the financial community

What Skills You Need

  • Detailed knowledge of SAP and its use on the factory floor

  • Experience administering the wage labor agreement

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with many other functional organizations

  • Knowledge of material flow

  • Experience with manufacturing engineering systems

  • Knowledge of change management principles and techniques

  • Demonstrated team leadership and mentoring experience

  • Knowledge of unit processes and manufacturing and/or operations

  • Cross functional work experience(s) in major areas such as accounting, manufacturing, operations, warehousing and/or distribution, production employee supervision, and supply management

Education (or equivalent work experience)

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Management, Business, Manufacturing Technology, or Engineering
