Machine Health Specialist (m/f/d)

Your Responsibilities

As a Machine Health Specialist for John Deere Fabriek Horst, you will be part of the Product Support team responsible for supporting the John Deere dealers and customers to maximize performance & uptime for the agricultural machinery in the Crop Care platform. Analysis and solutions addressed by this position are often complex in nature and cross different functional areas (For example: hydraulics / electronics / software). In addition, you will:

  • Combine practical experience with machine telematic data and analytics to plan, develop and deliver solutions (alerts) that help predict, prevent, and resolve machine issues and reduce dealer diagnostic time.

  • Collect and analyze data from different sources (CCMS, machine telematics data, warranty, customer surveys, etc.) to support the problem resolution/corrective action process.

  • Develop reporting tools to communicate machine insights to factory and field stakeholders.

  • Develop in-depth technical knowledge of Application Equipment and provide support to the Customer Contact Management System (CCMS) stakeholders, using machine telematics or machine data analysis.

  • May create and deliver complex technical content training materials for field teams and channel partners.

  • May travel to the field to collect failure data to provide problem definition on complex problems.

What Skills You Need

You are an excellent communicator in English language, who thrives on solving problems and working in a team environment. Ideally, you will have a Bachelors Degree in Agriculture/Technology/ Engineering with a technical or agri-technical apprenticeship, or equivalent experience in a related field.

We also require:

  • Experience and strong analytical and technical skills to detect, diagnose, and resolve complex machine issues, particularly with hydraulic and electrical systems.

  • Experience and ability to analyze machine data using technical tools like Service Advisor, CANalyzer, etc.

  • A passion for business analytics or data science.

  • Good communication skills (written and verbal) working with fellow Machine Health Specialist, design engineers, or other multifunctional teams for further understanding.

  • Knowledge of reporting methods and tools like Tableau, Power BI, etc.

  • Ability to perform in worldwide team structures with different cultures.

  • This position requires the willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%.
