Product Support Representative (m/f)
for the Crop Care platform
A key component of the marketing function at John Deere is the product support team. Members of the team are taking care of the customer through the processes of product development, DTAC, problem resolution and field support. The work is challenging, fast-paced and very fulfilling. Product support members work with every area of the company, including engineering, service parts, manufacturing, marketing, the branch organization, dealers and customers.
What You’ll Do:
As a Product Support Representative, you will provide product and customer support for the Crop Care platform. Issues or problems addressed by this position are often complex in nature. They can deal with multi-function or multi-platform issues. For example, many of these complex issues could initially be considered hydraulic or electrical in nature and can be related to one functional platform or another (i.e. GPS vs. Vehicle vs. Implement). For this you use tools like CCMS/DTAC, EID, NCCA and TSL.
In addition, you will:
Develop new solutions and provide product technical support to field teams, channel partners, and customers on complex problems.
Identify emerging issues or complex product problems using analysis tools & knowledge.
May deliver complex technical content training materials.
May travel to the field to resolve or bring knowledge to the team on complex issues.
What It Takes:
You are an excellent communicator in English and French languages, who thrives on solving problems and working in a team environment. Ideally, you will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture/Technology/ Engineering with a technical or agri-technical apprenticeship, or equivalent experience in a related field.
We also require:
Ability to read engineering prints and schematics.
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
Technically astute, particularly in hydraulic and electric systems.
Ability to perform in worldwide team structures with different cultures.
Good communication skills working with the team or other multifunctional teams for further understanding.
Strong analytical skills.
This position requires the willingness and ability to travel up to 20%.
