As Supervisor Assembly you lead several Assembly teams in our sprayer production facility at John Deere Fabriek Horst and you are responsible to deploy company and production strategies. Your total team size will be ± 30-35 Assembly mechanics and 3 team leads.
You are responsible for the daily performance of your assembly teams on important KPI’s related to safety, quality, delivery and productivity
You monitor these KPI’s, analyze deviations, adjust to change and initiate corrective actions to maintain and improve performance of your teams
You are responsible to convey the Continuous Improvement philosophy and initiate CI activities to further improve the performance of your teams on safety, quality, delivery and productivity. Your decisions for change are data driven and you pro-actively lead a cross-functional improvement team to implement changes
You work together with the 2 other operations supervisors to continuously streamline the whole production process and set-up your teams to be successful
Together with your team leads you take care of work assignments and FTE planning depending on the orderbook status and master production planning
You take care of continuous development of your team members with respect to knowledge, experience and skill level to ensure flexibility and continuity in your teams
You report directly to the Manager Operations
Directs departmental continuous improvement plans and activities.
Monitors Control Plans, troubleshoots workmanship problems and generally supervises production activities to ensure that manufactured products meet or exceed all established quality requirements.
Plans for maintenance of equipment and facilities to maximize the uptime and utilization of capital equipment assets.
Implements and monitors safety programs and housekeeping.
Determines manufacturing and/or distribution priorities based on the production schedule and makes daily assignments including filling vacancies and assigning overtime in order to adhere to the Customer Delivery date.
Establishes employee environment regarding communications, feedback and overall guidance. Ensures that assigned personnel have appropriate training, work instruction and tools to successfully do their job.
Administers employee policies, practices, procedures and work rules appropriate for the unit. Monitors individual and line performance and takes corrective action including discipline, as needed and responds to complaints to insure the Company and employees adheres to policies, practices, procedures and work rules.
Monitors and makes corrections to stay within the department operating budget targets.
